Thank You San Pedro Calungsod

I remembered wanting to make my way to the altar of San Isidro Parish where Eds and I would attend Sunday masses and Wednesday novenas to touch the replica image of San Pedro Calungsod which was flown from the Vatican. I immediately walked my way passed other paishoners and headed straight to the image which was right infront of the altar.While others were waiting to kiss the parish priest's hands, I rushed to the image, said a brief prayer asking for a baby for Eds and I  and asking for his intercession for the recovery of my father who was just released from the hospital after a mild stroke before holding his hands and rubbing it on my belly. Who would have known that two weeks after my encounter with San Pedro Calungsod, all of my prayers will be answered.
Sharing this prayer to our beloved San Pedro Calungsod...

Prayer to Blessed Pedro Calungsod
Blessed Pedro Calungsod,
student, catechist, young migrant,
missionary, faithful friend, martyr,
you inspire us
by your fidelity in times of adversity;
by your courage in teaching the faith
in the midst of hostility;
and by your love in shedding your blood
for the sake of the Gospel.
Make our troubles your own
(here mention your request)
and intercede for us
before the throne of Mercy and Grace
so that,
as we experience the help of heaven,
we may be encouraged to live
and proclaim the Gospel here on earth.
Amen.

100 % Positive

Eds accompanied me today to Casa Medica to have a pregnancy test. I appreciate the loving support of Eds who just arrived from work this morning but still was able to accompany me. There was a long line at Casa Medica but I was glad to know that there was no line in the laboratory. I had a vial of blood extracted and I was asked to fill a cup of urine. Normally, this would be a tedious task but since my bladder makes me feel like urinating most of the time, this was  way too easy now.
We were asked to comeback after an hour so Eds and I decided to eat lunch first..Our first meal as a family? A Shakey's Family Deal...haha.
After an hour of waiting, I was really nervous as I entered the laboratory and when I was handed the results, it was clearly positive.

Two Lines=Positive

I have been bugging Eds to buy a home pregnancy kit for a week now but he insists that I am probably just imagining things since we both know how erratic my periods are. Weeks before, I frequented Divisoria and noticed that I really find it tiring now more than ever. I also insisted to my mom that we eat in Lydia's lechon the last time I went to Divisoria with her. Aside from my period gone missing for two weeks now, I also noticed how tired I am upon arriving home that I literally can't lift myself out if the bed.
With much prodding, I succeeded and finally had Eds buy a home pregnancy test. I tested in the evening and yes, there were two lines. I immediately told Eds about the results and he smiled and winked. I felt happy seeing the reaction on his face but fear, anxiety and a whole lot of different emotions started to flood my mind. Is this accurate? Is this test reliable? After all I have been through a lot of suspected pregnancies in our first three years of marriage. I told Eds everything going on inside my head and he told me that if I want, I can have a second test in the morning where HCG levels are supposed to be more concentrated.

3 AM, December 13
I woke up early and went to grab the home pregnancy test before marching to the comfort room...after only 5 seconds, two lines appeared again. POSITIVE.

I think my mind was more stable this morning that it was the last night. I uttered a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord that finally, or heart's most ardent desire has been answered. Are we telling other people yet? No, not until we are really 100% sure that I am pregnant. For now, it's our sweet little secret to keep...
