The Horror of Making the Guestlist
THE GUEST LIST!
As much as Eds and I would like to limit the guests to family, close relatives and close friends..making it REALLY simple and intimate..parang ang hirap gawin. Eds only wanted a wedding with 50 guests who all know the story of us. But this is too impossible especially on my part. This would be the first wedding of the first born, first apo (at first pamangkin!). The last wedding that my family had experienced was roughly 19 years ago (wedding ng uncle ko!)
The task of making a guestlist is difficult in a sense that you have to weigh in the importance of the guests. My family isn't that big but there are family friends who are more than friends to us all these years. For Eds, it will be really impossible as his mom has 12 other siblings though his dad is the only son. Add to that the pressure of being the first born in the family.
So far, we believe we are still within our target number. We don't want it to exceed 160! originally, we wanted 50 but let's be realistic, we made it a hundred but still can't so finally 150. In that number there are still names that would pop out in our minds every now and then so we are putting a buffer (just in case). There is still an RSVP though.
We are going to distribute the invites probably by the first week of April so we can start with the RSVP.
We have had a lot of accomplishments though we felt we were stuck with this preparation aspect!

Presenting: Our Personalized Wines
This is our gift for our male PS. I DIYed the design and had it printed by Sir Goldwyn. We originally planned of removing the original label but since it will take us time, we decided to just put our sticker on the existing label since the sticker print is of industry quality and it will hardly be noticed because our design is bursting with colors.
Here's our first try...
Our personalized wine.

I have made the menu labels already though Island Cove will be providing them, I thought of making one to follow the theme of the reception. I have used the same design elements of our table numbers. We will be printing each in copies as there will be two buffet tables.

DIY Photobooth Stub
I had been saving my creative juices for this remembering wanting to have an onsite photobooth during our wedding reception and now that it finally came true (Fotobrew), I must let my DIY prowess to work. Here is the design I came up with...I'm planning to have them printed at Touch Art (where I had our table numbers printed)
On DIYs, AVPs and Emcees
I had a busy day today as I have to finish the grades of my students, write a narrative report and submit their behavioral rating sheet as well.Add to that the fact that we are assigned to different committees each year for the graduation. But despite these workload nothing beats the feeling of having to accomplished something for the wedding. Yes, I'm finally done (with the tweaking and all) doing our DIY prenup AVPs and DIY childhood flashback videos.
Not only did it save us some moolah but nothing beats the personal touch and feel to it.An since I am now receiving the prenup pics taken at the W@W 10th Aniversary, I'll start doing another AVP again...so there...
..by the way, we already have our emcee, my good friend Ms. Lisville May Natad (also a b2b!) will be our emcee. She's known to have hosted other weddings in the past before she got back into teaching. She used to work with ABS-CBN in the now defunct show Today with Kris.
Updates & Accomplishments
This Sunday we will be meeting with the staff of Fotobrew for the downpayment/reservation fee of Fotobrew. We are also scheduled to pay courtesy visit to our Ninongs and Ninangs before the invitations will be given. We have a very hectic scheduled ahead of us...51 days to go!

Reasons to Smile
There are several reasons why I have these big smile on my face today...starting of with the pre-nup pics from Mr. Richie Macapinlac (super thanks) and secondly, beacuse we have arranged a meeting with Fotobrew for the signing of contract and payment of the deposit on Sunday. They will also bring samples of actual prints and the will let us choose the layout and design of the backdrop.

Bridesmaids Charms: Wrapped!
I ordered these charms from Ms. Pam Sulit as early as October which Im kinda glad I did coz I recently read through a post that she's not replying to queries. Im glad I didnt experience any hassles from Ms. Pam.Actually she was very patient with me and very accommodating in answering my texts. I will not post the pictures as I want my bridesmaid to anticipate for it. What I'll be posting though is my DIY packaging for these charms...
We are Getting Fotobrew...
We enjoy going to these photobooths every time we attend these bridal fairs but othing impressed and interested me the most than Fotobrew! Yup,they are not brewing coffee but photos actually. I like the humor in their set up as it blends fun and elegance. It doesnt look like the ordinary photobooths! We actually saw their set up during the W@W 10th anniversary at Fernbrook Gardens.
Speaking of which, we are getting FOTOBREW for our onsite photobooth. Our common friend, Jubert (yup, yung dating nanligaw sakin nung highschool--SUPER FRIENDS KAME!) will be sposoring the photobooth as his wedding gift. Too sad he wouldn't be around to experience it for himself as he is based in Saudi Arabia. Thanks for the gift Jubs!

While we were doing some wedding preps over coffee, I decided to head to Touch Art and ask for their printing rates for our table numbers. They gave it to me at Php5.00/print (3R) size so I decided to have them printed already since I am also done with the and I have my usb with me. I am quite satisfied with the outcome... I had each table number printed in 2 copies so I can have each in back to back

Sharing my First Gown Fitting
Pictures taken from my first fitting.
Yes, I had my first gown fitting this afternoon at the shop of Ms. Mia Barlaan at Aaron Bldg. Las Pinas. We went to her shop at around 4pm and we (Jelyne, a bridesmaid) were cordially assisted by Ms. Klem, Mia's assistant. I didn't let Eds see the fitting session so I asked him to stay at the car instead(hehe).
The gown (well not yet technically) fits me well. I loved the way it hugged my body. There were some adjustments that needs to be made in the sleeves but everything is fine with the rest of the gown. I loved the train and its fluidity of movement. Grabeh ang haba ng train, it will sweep the long aisle of St. Michael! I even took some pictures of my session which was nontheless enjoyable (Ms. klem was very friendly!).
I think Eds had a glanced of the session though, when I went a bit further to the display area just as so the shot of the train can be made.Really enjoyed the experience and am looking forward to my 2nd fitting.
P.S. Im still thinking if I'll post the pics or not...
The W@W Free Pre-nups Experience...
We had our w@w prenups this afternoon at Fernbrook Gardens. It was a day of mixed feelings and emotions. We were excited to see Fernbrooks and experience being photographed by some of the top rated photographers. We arrived the earliest (haha!) and honestly, the place was so elegant but mainit! We had our first prenup photo taken by Niceprint by the bridgeway, then we took advantage of Baicapture and PartyPics Photobooth. Then we headed down the w@w Red Carpet and our photos were taken by mel Cortez (or so I believe!).
I just cant contain my excitement when I spotted the vintage cars down by the entrance so we posed for some pics courtesy of Rich Macapinlac ( I enjoyed this the most as he was really creative with his shots to the pont na umakyat siya sa balluster to take different angles..galing!). After that we went for a walk and headed to the chapel where we took pictures of our own (hehe!).As we were walking by the bridgeway, we saw a photographer near this beautiful yet secluded spot so we rushed to where he was and to my surprise-Ariel Javellosa. We candidly posed (sabi ko sa sarili ko kailangan icareer ARIEL JAVELLOSA i2!) and we were glad beacuse he was a breeze to work with. When we finished our prenup session with Mr. Javellosa, we decided to go to the powder room for some retouching. On our way down, we chanced upon Imagine Nation. Honestly, Eds didnt enjoy posing for them. According to him, magulo magbigay ng directions (which I perfectly understand compared to the previous photographers) kaya ayun after them, nawalan ng gana si Eds...we just went on to try Picturebrew (magnets) and Fotoloco (na super tagal, sabi 20 mins eh 30 mins. na kami naghihintay, wala pa din!).

Tips for a Successful THMU

Our Teddy Bears are Coming Home!
From Singapore that is...I already emailed Sis Rica that we have paid the downpayment for the bears and in return she told me that her housemate will be coming on home on the 30th of March (she's from Bacor, Cavite too) so we might get them by that time as well. Sis Rica also promised me that they will be sending the pictures just as so we can have something to look at while anticipating for our meet up...
Abay na Pasaway....
I dont get it when people dont seem to understand when friends refuse to understand your situation and still go on with what they think is right and would keep insisting pa.This friend of mine is also thinking of what others reactions towards her role in my wedding without even considering our efforts and the fact that hey, WHO'S WEDDING IS IT ANYWAY GIRL?
The Martha Stewart Weddings & Bridals
This year, Summit Live has lined up 3 major exhibitions, namely: the Martha Stewart Weddings Bridal Fair, the Yummy Food Fair and the 2nd Consumer Electronics FairMartha Stewart Weddings, the magazine, brings its impeccable style and wedding ideas to life in the premiere Martha Stewart Weddings Bridal Fair in the Philippines.
Overly Excited
I am excited (elated din) for the W@W Free pre-nups this Friday and for my first fitting this Saturday. Actually it was supposed to be today, March 18, however there had been some conflicts in my schedule that's why I just opted to have it on a Saturday.Im buying this bodyform in Rustans so I can bring it over (along with my shoes) when I do my first fitting...can't hardly wait!

Lurker Mode: Activate
Ever since I got this Smartbro Wireless, I became unstoppable from posting and updating our wedsite and blogs for the preparation of our upcoming wedding. Before masaya na ko sa Friendster…now its different! Eds will kill me for this.
Ill be a lurker muna after this as I want to finish the grades of my studes so Eds and I can move on to the restof our duties for the preps like ready the invites for distribution, finalize seating arrangements and floor plan etc...Well I just hope wala ng Ninong or Ninang na magpapaproxy kasi super hirap ayusin ang seating assignments grabe ( I think Im on my 5th revisions na) and til its final, of course di pa mlalagay sa invites which means madedelay ang invites...hay!

Nightmare of the Guestlist!
When we started planning this wedding, we never thought that making the guest list would be the hardest part! Promise! Its a good thing that Eds and I worked on this long before along with the booking of our major suppliers.
We really wanted to limit the gests to family, close relatives and close friends to make it solemn and intimate. But its quite hard as my mom's family is quite big and so with the family of Ed's mom (13 na magkakapatid ang mom nya) Its a difficult decision who to retain and who to mark out. I also realized that no matter how organize you want to be, you just cant as other people still has the powers to riun your plans! (like mga ninongs and ninangs na biglang nagpaproxy..errrh)
At this point in the preparations, we are still within the target limit of 150 guests (there's still the RSVP)

Marriage Reality Check(list)
So you've chosen the person to live with for the rest of your life. But do you know his or her take on certain issues concerning your marriage and future family? Below is a checklist of things you ought to discuss and disclose before proceeding with your wedding plans.
PERSONAL
Do I do anything that bugs you? If I can't change, could you live with that for the rest of our lives?
CHILDREN
How many children do you want? Who's going to be the primary caregiver? How would you feel if we won't be blessed with any?
FINANCES
Who will handle the household budget? Will we be allowed to have personal savings and spendings from each other's salary? Or do we remit our full salary in the same pool? Do you have any financial obligations to your family? Do you have debts?
DWELLING
Where will we live when we get married? Is living with our families an option? If so, when do we expect to move out?
HEALTH
Do we have any health issues each should know of? Are there any health concerns that we could potentially pass to our children or we should prepare for financially?
FAITH (different religions/beliefs)
Do you expect me to convert to your religion? Or would you respect it if I choose to still practice what I believe in? Which religion should our children be brought up to?
PRIVACY
Are we allowed to answer calls in each other's cellphones? Are we free to read each other's text messages, emails, & mails?
SEX
Can we comfortably and openly discuss our sexual needs, preferences and problems?
FUTURE IN-LAWS
Does my family do anything that annoys you? Do you feel they will interfere with our marriage? Will it be alright with you if I keep supporting my family (physically/financially) even if already we're married?
CAREER
Do you expect me to be a full-time housewife? Would you be bothered if my job pays better than yours?
CHORES
What household chores do you expect me to do?
LIFESTYLE
What do you wish/expect me to changes in my present lifestyle?
FRIENDS
Who among my friends do you feel is a bad influence? Are we still allowed to go out with them for late night gimmicks when we're married?
MIGRATION
Do you see raising our family here in the Philippines or is migrating to a foreign land in the plans? Would you consider a job abroad and leave your family behind for a better life?
